Always Choose a Chartered Physiotherapist
ACPAT Member
4 Point Physio provides only Chartered Physiotherapists that are Category 'A' members of ACPAT (Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Animal Therapy). This ensures that your physio achieved a high level of practical & academic training, involving a 3 year degree to become a human physiotherapist first, then a further 2 years Masters level training to qualify as a Veterinary Physiotherapist.
This is important as the title 'Animal or Veterinary Physiotherapist' is not protected by law, so anyone could call themselves an animal physiotherapist. By choosing 4 Point Physio you can be assured to have a professional, qualified & insured physiotherapist caring for your animal.
Legislation stipulates that animals may only be treated by a Veterinary Surgeon or someone authorised by a Veterinary Surgeon. Members of ACPAT follow this to safeguard animals, so will always ask for your vet's consent before seeing your animal.
CSP Member
4 Point Physio's Chartered Physiotherapists are members of professional body the CSP (Chartered Society of Physiotherapists); ACPAT is a specialist group of the CSP. Members adhere to the CSP's high standards of practice & competencies, while receiving support for continued professional development & access to the latest physiotherapy research & news.
HCPC Registered
4 Point Physio's Chartered Physiotherapists are registered by the HCPC (Health and Care Professions Council), who regulate health & care professionals in the UK. They protect the public by only registering professionals that meet their high national standards of training, skills & behaviour.
